April 9, 2011 - Crash on Route 309

On April 9, 2011 a two vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of Lincoln Drive and Claremont Avenue (SR309) in Hometown. All five passengers were transported to area hospitals, four by ground ambulance and the fifth by Lehigh Valley Hospital MedEvac 7. Responding were Township Police, Hometown Fire Company, Tamaqua Rescue Squad, Ryan Township Ambulance, Lehighton Ambulance and Lehigh Valley Hospital MedEvac 7. Hometown Fire Police detoured traffic around the scene.
